Unlike many wildfire inspections that focus only on vegetation removal, these consultations consider how landscape design, plant selection, and long-term maintenance can reduce wildfire risk while maintaining attractive and functional landscapes.

• 60-minute on-site evaluation
• Immediate Zone (0–5’) review
• Intermediate Zone (5–30’) vegetation and fuel structure assessment
• Structural interface observations (decks, fences, other attachments)
• Site photos
• PDF summary report
• Prioritized action list (High / Medium / Optional)

This service emphasizes:

• Selective pruning and removal
• Material transitions at the home interface
• Practical, phased improvements

• Preservation of ecological and scenic values

In some cases, property owners choose to move beyond a consultation and develop a more detailed mitigation or landscape plan. Radiant Studio and Confluent Design offer additional services including:

• detailed vegetation management plans
• wildfire-resilient landscape design
• planting plans using low-flammability species
• coordination with HOA or neighborhood mitigation efforts

Kevin is a licensed Landscape Architect in the states of Colorado and Wyoming with over 25 years of experience. He obtained certification as a Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialist (CWMS) in 2022 from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). 

His work focuses on the intersection of defensible space, plant performance, and site design. He is currently leading a plant flammability research initiative to better understand seasonal fuel behavior in Colorado landscape species.
